15 three and four year old children are enrolled in one classroom. Teachers make two home visits during the year focusing on the parents as their child’s most important teacher. Head Start provides services in partnership with the Hardin School District Special Education Preschool program. Children with disabilities are integrated into the Head Start classrooms and receive full services from both programs. Children attend classes from mid September through May. Children have either breakfast and lunch or lunch and a snack depending upon which classroom they attend. Transportation is provided.

Children who attend the Head Start Center in Hardin must live within the Hardin city limits. The only exception is children who have diagnosed disabilities who quality for school district special education services.
