Lockwood Area Head Start Center:
Class Schedule: 9:30am-1:30pm
34 three and four year old children are enrolled in 2 classrooms located at the Lockwood School. From mid September through May, children attend morning classes four days per week. Children receive breakfast and lunch.
Teachers make two home visits per year and hold two parent conferences to focus on the parents’ role as their child’s most important teacher. There are multiple opportunities for parents to participate in activities at the center with their children, including family literacy events. Special education services are provided by the Yellowstone-East Special Services Co-Op to children with diagnosed disabilities.
Children who live in the Lockwood area are eligible for enrollment. Limited transportation is available for some of the children whose families cannot get them to or from the center.
